How photography found its corner in my online Art Shop...

Breast Cancer Awareness Month felt like an appropriate opportunity for me to share my recent diagnosis (found May 2022 via routine mammogram - this is the "awareness" part... go get your mammograms!), double mastectomy (June 2022), and reconstructive surgery (September 2022). My prognosis is ideal, my doctors are pleased, and I am patiently healing. 

This diagnosis and the following surgeries has made it both mentally and physically impossible for me to create my artwork. Limited range of motion and muscle trauma have blocked my creative outlets...But it's not as though I can just turn off the creating... my mind is spinning more than it ever has with ideas and plans. And as far as output, I've been forced to rely solely on photography. 

I look forward to building the breadth of available images, especially posting full series of works so that hanging multiples in groups is an option for an even more powerful artistic experience.
